This period in Icelandic postal history produced many interesting and attractive issues. The 19th century numeral stamps were retired in 1902, and then strangely brought back again overprinted I GUILDI, meaning ‘’still valid’’. The beautiful Parliamentary issue of 1930, a set of 15 regular stamps and 5 airmails showing scenes taken from Iceland’s history, were designed and produced in Austria and presented to the state as a gift.
